ABOUT THE JOBSHOW

The JobShow began in 2015 and is a joint initiative of Sunshine Coast Council and Stones Throw Group. It is supported by a range of other partners including TAFE QLD and other businesses, business groups, training and education and employment services providers.

The JobShow is about:

  • JOBS - Connecting businesses with the right staff
  • SKILLS - Linking businesses and candidates to immediate training and skills opportunities
  • BUSINESS AND STARTUP SUPPORT - Linking businesses and start-ups with critical business services.

The JobShow is an 8 week market engagement campaign and one day expo eventthat makes it easier for:

  • Local businesses to find the right staff efficiently, and cost effectively.
  • Training providers to engage potential students and gain immediate enrolments and connect to local businesses with a demand for training and skills.
  • Businesses to connect to their target customer markets, exhibit your business and products and services and help Sunshine Coast businesses and Start Ups grow and prosper.

MARKET ENGAGEMENT – JOBSHOW AND MEDIA CAMPAIGN

  • Media partnerships - Sea & Mix FM, Channel 7 and the Sunshine Coast Daily

The JobShow has 3 main components

JOBS

  • Exhibitors with jobs available
  • Target of a total of 800 jobs available on the day
  • Job interviews scheduled where possible

  • Referrals of candidates to employers post-event

SKILLS

  • Exhibitors with accredited and non-accredited qualifications, courses and other products and services.
  • Course enrolments
  • Skills demonstrations
  • Interactive skills activities
  • Referrals of candidates to skills training post-event
