THE JOBSHOW IS ABOUT REAL JOBS, RIGHT NOW.

The JobShow is an expo event that is all about the community coming together to address the issues of unemployment and brings together available jobs throughout a region in the one place, at the one time, on the one day.

The JOBSHOW supports local economic development and job creation strategies and generates a sense of positivity and optimism throughout the community. It also:

  • Attracts real employers, with hundreds of jobs available on the day and makes it easier for business to find the right staff;
  • Generates immediate links to employment opportunities and job outcomes for jobseekers by connecting people directly to employers. This includes unemployed people and people looking to get a new job, better job or a different job;
  • Breaks down the “who you know” factor and helps people who are socially isolated and disadvantaged to create networks with employers and break into the hidden job market.

WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT THE JOBSHOW?

The JOBSHOW is about immediate outcomes. It is not a traditional Careers expo that provides students with information about career options for jobs at some point in the future. Also, the cost to exhibitors is minimal (around the cost of an ad on SEEK) and provides significant economies for recruitment processes.
